# Active Sessions

Review and manage the browsers and devices currently signed in to your Elvo Exchange account.

## Active Sessions

Review and manage the browsers and devices currently signed in to your Elvo Exchange account.

### What Are Active Sessions?

An active session represents a browser or device that is currently authenticated to your Elvo Exchange account.

The Active Sessions page allows you to review your signed-in devices and terminate any session that you no longer use or do not recognize.

[**View Active Sessions →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/sessions)

***

### Review Your Signed-In Devices

Each active session may display information such as:

* Browser
* Device or operating system
* Approximate location when available
* Session start time
* Session expiration time
* Sign-in method
* Connected wallet information for wallet-based sessions

Your current browser is identified as **Current session**.

> Location information may appear as **Unknown** when reliable location metadata is not available. An unknown location does not automatically mean that the session is suspicious.

***

### Email and Wallet Sessions

Elvo also identifies how a session was authenticated.

#### Email Sign-In

Sessions created using your Elvo email account are displayed as **Email sign-in**.

#### Wallet Sign-In

Sessions created through a linked wallet may display:

* Wallet sign-in
* A shortened wallet address
* The associated chain ID

This can help you identify which authentication method was used to access your account.

***

### Terminate a Session

If you see a browser or device that you no longer use:

1. Open [**Active Sessions →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/sessions)
2. Find the session you want to remove.
3. Review the browser, device, and session information.
4. Select **Terminate**.

That session will no longer be authorized to access your Elvo account.

You can also terminate your **current session**. If you do, Elvo will sign you out and return you to the Login page.

***

### Terminate All Sessions

If you believe your account may have been accessed without your permission, you can immediately invalidate all active sessions.

From the Active Sessions page, select:

**Terminate all sessions**

This signs out:

* Your current browser
* Other browsers
* Other devices
* Any other active Elvo sessions associated with your account

You will need to sign in again afterward.

[**Manage Active Sessions →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/sessions)

***

### When Should You Terminate a Session?

Consider terminating a session when:

* You signed in from a shared or public computer
* You no longer use the device
* You see a browser or device you do not recognize
* You believe someone else may have accessed your account
* You want to remove an old authenticated session

Regularly reviewing your active sessions is a good account security practice.

***

### If You See an Unrecognized Session

If you find a session that you do not recognize:

1. **Terminate the session immediately.**
2. If you are unsure how many devices may be affected, select **Terminate all sessions**.
3. Change your Elvo account password.
4. Review your Login Security settings.
5. Review your linked wallets and authenticator configuration.

You can manage your password and account protection from:

[**Security Settings →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security)

> Changing your Elvo account password also revokes existing authenticated sessions and requires you to sign in again.

***

### Protect Your Sessions

To reduce the risk of unauthorized account access:

* Do not leave your Elvo account signed in on public devices
* Use Login Security with multiple verification methods
* Keep your email account protected
* Keep your authenticator device secure
* Review Active Sessions periodically
* Only sign in through [**elvo.exchange**](https://elvo.exchange/)

> If you notice activity you do not recognize, terminate the affected sessions before contacting support.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://elvo-exchange.gitbook.io/elvo-exchange-docs/account/active-sessions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
