## Connected Wallet

Link a supported Web3 wallet to your Elvo Exchange account for wallet-based sign-in and additional account security verification.

### What Is a Connected Wallet?

A connected wallet allows Elvo Exchange to verify that you control a specific Web3 wallet.

Once a wallet is successfully linked to your account, it can be used for supported security functions such as:

* Signing in to your Elvo account
* Web3 verification during Login Security
* Wallet-based withdrawal confirmation when enabled

[**Manage Connected Wallets →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security/linked-wallet)

> Connecting a wallet in your browser is not the same as linking it to your Elvo account. The wallet must be verified and linked before Elvo can use it for account security.

***

### Link a Wallet to Your Account

To link a wallet:

1. Sign in to Elvo Exchange.
2. Open [**Connected Wallets →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security/linked-wallet)
3. Select the Robinhood network used for wallet verification.
4. Connect the wallet you want to link.
5. Enter your current Elvo account password.
6. If an authenticator is enabled, enter your current 6-digit authenticator code.
7. Select **Verify & link wallet**.
8. Review the wallet signature request.
9. Approve the signature from your wallet.

After successful verification, the wallet will appear as a verified wallet linked to your Elvo account.

***

### Supported Robinhood Networks

Elvo can verify linked wallets on supported Robinhood networks.

Depending on the available account security flow, you may see:

* **Robinhood Mainnet**
* **Robinhood Testnet**

Always confirm the selected network before approving a wallet verification request.

The network used for wallet authentication does not automatically determine where your deposits or withdrawals are processed.

***

### Wallet Signatures

Elvo uses wallet signatures to verify wallet ownership.

When Elvo asks you to sign an authentication message:

* Review the request before approving it
* Make sure you are using the intended wallet
* Confirm that you are interacting with the official Elvo website
* Do not approve an unexpected transaction request

A normal Elvo authentication signature is used to verify ownership of the wallet.

> A wallet verification signature does not place a trade or transfer assets.

***

### Use a Linked Wallet to Sign In

Once your wallet has been linked, you can use it to begin the Elvo sign-in process.

Go to:

[**Elvo Login →**](https://elvo.exchange/login)

Select **Sign in with wallet**, connect the wallet already linked to your account, and approve the authentication signature.

If your Login Security configuration requires additional methods, Elvo will ask you to complete the remaining verification steps before access is granted.

***

### Use Web3 Connect for Login Security

A linked wallet can be selected as a **Web3 Connect** security method.

Manage Login Security from:

[**Login Security →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/login-security)

When Web3 Connect is enabled, Elvo may require a signature from one of your linked wallets during sign-in.

If you begin the login process with that linked wallet, the wallet signature can satisfy the Web3 verification step and Elvo will request the remaining configured security methods.

***

### Use a Linked Wallet for Withdrawal Security

A linked wallet may also be selected as a withdrawal verification method.

When wallet confirmation is enabled for withdrawals, Elvo requires a signature from a linked wallet as part of the withdrawal authorization process.

Manage your withdrawal security settings from:

[**Withdrawal Security →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security/withdrawal-security)

Withdrawal Security requires at least **two independent verification methods**.

***

### Use the Correct Wallet

If you have multiple wallets, make sure you connect the wallet that is actually linked to your Elvo account.

A different wallet address cannot be treated as the linked wallet simply because it is connected to your browser.

Before approving a verification request, confirm the wallet address shown by your wallet application.

***

### If Wallet Verification Fails

If you cannot link or verify your wallet:

* Confirm that the correct wallet is connected
* Confirm that the selected Robinhood network is correct
* Make sure your current Elvo password is correct
* Enter a current authenticator code if required
* Reject any old or unexpected signature request and start again
* Refresh the Elvo page and reconnect your wallet if the wallet session becomes unavailable

If the problem continues, contact Elvo through the official support channels listed in **Official Links & Team**.

***

### Keep Your Wallet Secure

Elvo Exchange will never ask you to provide:

* Your private key
* Your seed phrase
* Your wallet recovery phrase
* Direct remote access to your wallet or device

Only approve wallet signatures that you intentionally initiated from:

[**https://elvo.exchange/**](https://elvo.exchange/)

> If a person claiming to represent Elvo asks for your seed phrase, private key, or wallet recovery phrase, do not provide it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://elvo-exchange.gitbook.io/elvo-exchange-docs/account/connected-wallet.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
