# Create an Account

Creating an Elvo Exchange account takes only a few minutes. You will need a valid email address and access to that email to complete verification.

### Before You Start

Make sure you have:

* A valid email address that you can access
* A secure password
* Your correct country of residence
* A supported Web3 wallet if you choose to link one during registration

Linking a wallet during registration is **optional**. You can manage supported wallet connections later from your account security settings.\
\
[**Create an Elvo Account →**](https://elvo.exchange/register)

### Step 1 — Enter Your Account Details

Open the [**Elvo Registration Page →**](https://elvo.exchange/register) and provide:

* **First Name**
* **Last Name**
* **Email Address**
* **Country**
* **Password**
* **Password Confirmation**

Your password must contain at least **10 characters**.

Use a unique password that you do not use for other websites or services.

***

### Step 2 — Optional: Link a Web3 Wallet

You may choose to connect and verify a supported Web3 wallet while creating your account.

Select **Connect** under the wallet option and complete the wallet verification request.

If successfully verified, the wallet can be linked to your Elvo account when registration is completed.

> **Optional:** A wallet is not required to complete standard email-based account registration.

You can also configure wallet-related security later from:

[**Security Settings →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security)

***

### Step 3 — Create Your Account

After reviewing your information, select **Create Account**.

Elvo will send a **6-digit verification code** to the email address you provided.

Do not close the registration process until your email verification is complete.

***

### Step 4 — Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for the verification email from Elvo Exchange.

Enter the **6-digit verification code** on the verification screen.

If you do not receive the code immediately:

* Check your spam or junk folder
* Confirm that you entered the correct email address
* Wait until the **Resend verification code** option becomes available

Verification codes are time-sensitive, so complete this step as soon as possible.

***

### Step 5 — Complete Your Security Setup

After successful email verification, your Elvo account is created and you will be directed to your account security settings.

We strongly recommend completing your security configuration before depositing assets or beginning to trade.

Start with:

[**Security Settings →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/security)

Then configure:

[**Login Security →**](https://elvo.exchange/account/login-security)

Elvo Login Security can use multiple verification methods, including:

* Email OTP
* Google Authenticator
* Web3 Connect

At least **two available security methods** must be selected when configuring Login Security.

***

### Already Have an Account?

If you already have an Elvo Exchange account, you do not need to register again.

[**Sign In to Elvo →**](https://elvo.exchange/login)

### Account Security Tips

To help protect your account:

* Use a unique password for Elvo Exchange
* Never share your email verification codes
* Enable additional account security methods
* Only access Elvo through [**elvo.exchange**](https://elvo.exchange/)
* Be cautious of fake support accounts and impersonators

> **Important:** Elvo Exchange team members will never ask for your password, private key, seed phrase, or authenticator code.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://elvo-exchange.gitbook.io/elvo-exchange-docs/account/create-an-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
